Argentine Soria Aces ERC’S New Arrive-and-Drive Clio Trophy by Toksport WRT

The arrive-and-drive Clio Trophy by Toksport WRT began with victory for Argentine Paulo Soria on ORLEN 77th Rally Poland.

He headed French pair Ghjuvanni Rossi and Bastien Bergounhe with Italian Andrea Mabellini fourth following tyre damage on leg one.

“For sure it’s a great way to start,” Soria said. “We planned everything but nothing is safe until you see the podium. It’s a difficult event and a difficult Trophy, so we are really happy and it’s better than we expected. It’s very massive for us. We are so far from home but I am not alone, there are people behind me, supporting me and I am really happy for this. It’s hard when you are so far from home, maybe not when everything is okay and you have a good achievement. But when you make a mistake and things go wrong it’s important to have support and for sure I have it and for this podium I am really happy. I am really looking forward now to Rally Liepāja because I love the fast stage. In Argentina we have fast stages like Liepāja so I am really waiting for this rally.”

Turkey’s Yigit Timur crashed on the opening day have gone quickest among the MICHELIN-equipped Renault Clio Rally5 contingent on SS2.
